Ceramic Fillings

At Costa Rica BioHealth, amalgam fillings are removed and replaced with ceramic inlays. These inlays are pre-made and accurately fitted into the tooth using a 3D camera measurement. The advantage of ceramic fillings is that they are made of a high-quality, well-tolerated material and can be customized to match the color of the surrounding teeth. They are suitable for both front and back teeth in terms of aesthetics. Additionally, ceramic fillings are long-lasting and resistant to pressure.

In comparison to amalgam fillings, ceramic fillings typically last ten to twelve years, while amalgam fillings last around eight to ten years. Removal of harmful amalgam and its replacement with ceramic inlays is part of the Costa Rica BioHealth Concept. This can be accomplished using either 3D printing or milling.
